The Boise Zoo

Jake came home from work early last Friday afternoon because the power was out at the office building he works in....so we decided to go to the zoo! The tigers were definitely our favorite part of the zoo. They are so amazing!!
The turtle was so big we wonder how he even moves.

They have this big pool for the penguins that you can watch them swim. They are really goofy little animals! Jake kept waiting for them to slip of the edge into the pool!

This is a Gemsbok. We also really liked the monkeys but the pictures of them did not turn out. We must have watched them for about 20 minutes!

We had to take a picture of a zebra because a zoo would not be a zoo without a zebra!!

Another picture of the Tigers! They are so cute and cuddly looking! But probably not so cuddly!

Boondocks Fun Center

We went to Boondocks Fun Center in Boise last weekend with Logan & Amy Waetje and Logan's brother Jeff & wife Kim. We had so much fun! First we played a little round of mini golf with the boys vs. girls.....and yes the boys did win. They kept getting hole-in-ones and the girls couldn't compete with that.
Jake is showing us the way on the green!
Airlynn, Kim & Logan had the fastest cars while the others lagged behind! Go carts are so much fun...they make you feel like a kid again!

We played some arcade games after all the action of the night. Jake won it big! He won over 200 tickets on this game alone. We pooled our tickets and took home some prizes for Amy & Logan's little boys! They loved them...especially the rocket!

4th of July Trip

We spent the 4th of July in Huntsville, UT with Jake's sister Nicole her husband Matt and their beautiful little boy Justin. Matt's brother and his family were there also and one of Matt's friends from college and his wife. It was really fun hanging out at the cabin and on the boat!

This was Jake's first time ever wake boarding and he did awesome. He got up on his second try and stayed up!! He was even crossing the wake as you can see....without wrecking!

Airlynn had never wake boarded either....and she got up on her 2nd try! It was the staying up that was hard. She got the hang of it finally before we had to leave!

Jake did really well his first time surfing. He was trying to find the pocket to throw the rope back . He was in the perfect spot of the wake many times with slack in the rope! Hang loose man!!!
Airlynn's first time surfing! Look at that determination on her face!
So this is how you are really supposed to surf! Matt is an awesome wake boarder and surfer!
The boys dropped the girls off on the beach to play for a while. Justin liked to throw sand into the water as long as mom was close by. Justin decided he liked his Uncle Jake and Aunt Airlynn. Jake won him over by feeding him his favorite food......Grapes!

Jake was the flagger!

Jake got to drive the boat when Matt got in the water! Justin hates his life jacket but loves the boat!

Jake & Airlynn in front of the boat! It is pretty sweet!

Nicole and Justin enjoying the boat ride on Saturday evening! Justin is a cool dude!

Airlynn made a very patriotic dessert! It was a HIT!

On the afternoon of the 4th we went to Uncle Steve and Aunt Judy's cabin in Huntsville for dinner. It was so wonderful to see all of them since we don't get to see them very often. All the kids are soo big and athletic!

Enjoying the sunset before the fireworks display! This is in Uncle Steve and Aunt Judy's back yard. Uncle Steve took us for a tour of the property by four wheelers and Aunt Judy gave us the tour of the house. It is a beautiful place!

On Saturday, Matt had to work so Nicole took us to town to see her house and Matt's car dealership. We have not seen Matt and Nicole's house since they have moved in. We enjoyed our trip to town. Uncle Jake and Justin played in the backseat. Justin loves his fish.....it really is his favorite toy in the whole world!

One more picture before we have to leave!

The Boise Depot

It was a beautiful day to look at a historic attraction in Boise. It has beautiful landscaping with tons of flowers. The ponds are full of HUGE goldfish. Do you know how high a goldfish can jump out of water? Really high!

His camo almost makes him blend in!

Airlynn is looking to see what exactly is under a lilly pad! ??
The comfy part of our condo. It works for a few months!

The cute part of our Boise condo.

The beautiful couple on thier big day!!

Jake & Airlynn

So we thought a little background information was in order for everyone to get caught up! Jake and I had our first date September 1, 2001. We already knew each other sine we had gone to high school together in Dillon, MT. We were engaged December 30, 2004 in Big Sky, MT and were married July 23, 2005 in Dillon. After we were married we decided to move to Missoula so Jake and I could attend the University of Montana. Jake's degree is Information Systems which is a Business major and I am in Pharmacy school. We are both nearing the end of our education, which has lead us to start with internships. We both are currently living in Boise, ID for the summer to do the internships. Things are going really well for us right now with the opportunities that have presented. We will see where live leads us next!
